The End

Well, ladies (and the occasional gent) it has been delightful, but the time has come for a goodbye.

As much as that may have sounded like a cliché, there is truth in it. I'm winding down this blog.

I've enjoyed writing and posting things here, I've enjoyed your feedback and comments. I've enjoyed watching my tiny following grow; however, it is now time for me to focus on other things. For those of you who might be feeling a little disappointed, fear not, the blog isn't closed for good. I am only semi-retiring. If at any point in time I suddenly am inspired to write something good enough to publish here, I'll do so. I am simply releasing myself of the responsibility and commitment to writing consistently.

It is not without a nostalgic pang that I publish this, but times change and chapters close. I thank you, dear Reader, for the time you have given to my material and for putting up with weeks on end of no posts at all.

I hope what you have found here has been a blessing to you. That is why I am here, after all.

As this is my last post (officially), I'd like to share a few of my favourites with you:

Peace

Today is wonderful because of John 14:27.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

He Leadeth

I'm confident that He has placed me here; my task is to labor quietly until the pillar cloud removes and leads farther, working out God's purposes in God's time.

God is going to give me a specific leading –not when I ask for it, but when I need it, and not until then.

To the east...

Last week, I deserted my life and flew to a humid paradise. You may have noticed my absence...

Veracruz is green and blue.
It's bright and hot.
It's wet.
Veracruz has a perfect dusk and beautiful waves.
It has dolphins and seashells.
It has sting rays.
Veracruz holds a new but wonderful school and a dignified, if scarred, fortress.
It holds laughter and tears.
It holds friends.
Veracruz dances and sings.
It laughs and learns.
It calls.
